A bold visual aesthetic, powerful lyrics and sophisticated modern pop sound, Joy’s releases throughout 2017 provided some of the year’s most distinctive new tunes. Crookes released her debut EP ‘Influence’ on the 21st July 2017, followed by a sold out debut headline show at Corsica Studios promoted by Live Nation. Lead single ‘Bad Feeling’ premiered on Wonderland and was featured by Notion and Fault, with the track receiving plays from MistaJam, Jamz Supernova and DJ Target on BBC 1 Xtra and featuring on Apple Music’s Best of the Week. Also featured on Apple Music, was EP track ‘Mother May I Sleep With Danger?’. Crookes’ recent Colors Berlin session of the same track has currently been viewed over 380,000 plays. Finishing 2017 supporting Jacob Banks on his European and UK tour, Joy continues to excel in the live arena and is amassing a loyal fanbase across Europe. Having just signed her debut recording contract with Speakerbox Records, 2018 is set to be a defining year for Crookes.
