Getting There

Please make sure you purchase the relevant passes and tickets for your journey before Thursday 4th July.

WEEKEND CAMPING

By Car - Parking

If you need to park your car you are required to purchase your car parking pass in advance for £15 per vehicle from below (on sale until Thursday 4th July). You will be able to pay for a pass on the day across the weekend at a higher price.

 

All those in ‘General Camping’ and ‘Artist Camping’ please head to RED GATE.

All those in ‘Boutique Camping’ please head to BLUE GATE.

By Car - Drop Off

For those being dropped off at the festival by car please head to YELLOW GATE (this includes people in Boutique Camping). This gate is for Pick Ups and Drop Offs only, please do not use Red Gate or Blue Gate if this applies to you.

 

 

By Train

The nearest train station is Ledbury. The festival shuttle bus will run from outside Ledbury Station direct to the festival. The operating times are between 10AM and 4PM on Friday 5th July only, and there will be return journeys between 7AM and 11AM on Monday 8th July only. We aim for the shuttle to run every 15 minutes and will drop all passengers off at YELLOW GATE. Return tickets cost £8 in advance and can be purchased below or on the day at a higher price.

Taxis will also be available at Ledbury Station, although we advise you to pre-book. Please note there is no Uber and limited taxi companies generally.

 

 

By Coach

Big Green Coach will drop you at YELLOW GATE on Friday morning and will pick you up again on Monday morning from the same gate to take you home. For further instructions please see your booking information from Big Green Coach.

 

Final coach passes are still available from Brighton, Crawley, London (Victoria), Oxford, Reading.

By Live-In Vehicle

Camper vans and live in vehicles are welcome at El Dorado. You will need to purchase a pass for your vehicle (max 4 occupants) in advance only. Each occupant in the car, including the driver must also have a weekend camping ticket in order to enter the festival. Live-In Vehicles must head to RED GATE.

DAY TICKETS

All Day tickets must head to YELLOW GATE. This includes all those parking and those being dropped off. Please remember day ticket holders do not have access to the campsite and are not allowed to bring an alcohol allowance into the festival.

 

BUYING FOOD & DRINK

In El Dorado all purchases are paid for using your contactless RFID festival wristband. We strongly advise that you buy a food and drinks voucher in advance to take advantage of our advance top up offer and have your wristband credited as soon as you arrive. Find out more below.

Upon arrival please make sure you have your bar coded voucher ready for scanning at the festival entrance. Your voucher will then be credited to your wristband by a member of staff.

ADMITTANCE POLICY

Accreditation

Please have your barcoded ticket ready for scanning before you arrive at the festival.

 

If you are going to display your ticket on your smartphone please ensure the ticket is downloaded before you leave for the festival as the internet coverage can be poor for some networks. Please do the same for your food and drink voucher too.

 

18+ & Identification

El Dorado Festival is an 18+ event that operates a Challenge 25 policy. You will be asked to provide evidence of your age with valid photographic ID.

We accept:

  • A Passport (not photocopy)

  • A UK Driving License

  • A Proof of Age Card bearing a PASS hologram

There is strictly no entry to those under the age of 18 and the festival will not be able to offer refunds to those refused entry on the day.

 

Restricted Items

Due to health & Safety and as part of our license the below items are not permitted in El Dorado:

 

  • Animals

  • Drones

  • Gazebos

  • Glass – absolutely no glass is allowed on site for safety reasons

  • Large stereo systems

  • Illegal substances

  • Legal highs

  • Portable laser equipment and pens

  • Unauthorised film or video equipment

  • Audio recorders

  • Air horns

  • Megaphones

  • Fireworks, flares and Chinese or sky lanterns

  • Any item which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon

  • Gas Canisters

  • Live in vehicles – propane or butane cylinders over 7kg. No more than 1 cylinder per vehicle

  • Nitrous Oxide

  • Petrol Burners

  • Any form of aerosol over 250ml

  • Unauthorised items for trading, including any goods using unauthorised event logos

 

Searches

To help ensure your safety and as part of our license we will be conducting thorough and extensive searches on every individual upon entry to the festival. Anyone found to possess illegal substances will be handed over to the police and will not receive a refund.

 

Alcohol Allowance

Per person, you can bring the following into the campsite:

  • EITHER 8 x cans of beer or lager or cider

  • OR 8 x pre-mixed mixer cans (max 250ml each) 

  • OR 1 bottle of wine decanted into a plastic or metal bottle

  • Day Ticket holders are not permitted to bring any alcohol into the festival.

 

Please note:

  • Strictly no spirits or hard liquor are permitted

  • Searches will be undertaken upon entry to ensure this is complied with

  • Any alcohol above this allocation will be confiscated and not returned

  • This alcohol may only be consumed within the campsite

  • Sealed bottles of water and soft drinks are allowed, but will be checked on entry to the site. There will be no limit on soft drinks.

  • A wide selection of beer, wine and cocktails will be available in the main arena across the weekend

 

No Re-Admittance

No re-admittance to and from the Red car park (unless on a pre-agreed residents ticket), we will allow people to make one journey back to their car to collect their stuff, they must be searched every time and alcohol will only be allowed the first time they go through.

 

GENERAL INFO

Weather

We recommend you pack for all possible weather outcomes as forecasts can change. There will be plenty of covered areas and water points around the festival, more details on locations can be found in our set times booklet available at the festival.

 

Please Keep Our Site Clean

Eastnor castle deer park is in a designated area of outstanding beauty and a site of special scientific interest. We ask that all festival goers help us minimise waste and participate in our recycling initiatives across the weekend. Please ensure all rubbish is disposed of in the ample bins provided and the land is looked after during your stay.
